This Castle on a Hill is made from Black Wattle wood.

It stands 17cm high when open and is 14cm wide. It has not only beautiful colours in the heartwood, but amazing patterns from spalting. The spalting is caused by moisture and fungi. All that to say, this castle is now thoroughly dry and fungi free. Black Wattle is a native to southeastern Australia.
